Today is rest day.
And, I surely need it after the last few days. It was really hard not to pack my gym bag this morning and to bring it with me "just in case" I had another day like yesterday. But, I resisted. My body really needs one day to recover from my workout yesterday (double at the gym on top of a morning run). I can feel it in my arms today from rowing and my hips are a little tender after I have been sitting for a long time. But, so far today hasn't been as awful and stressful like yesterday. If it takes a turn for the worse in the next 3 1/2 hours, maybe I will indulge in a little retail therapy instead of food/laziness therapy; because endorphin therapy is not an option today.
Don't forget, rest days are an important part of training too!

I love rest days! For me it's a sleeping in kind of day, even if it's only to 0630: that's two extra hours. Usually on my Sunday rest day, I'm on my feet in the kitchen prepping food for the next week's lunches and doing laundry. Happy to be able to sit for a few minutes and watch a show. Right now (on HuluPlus: Whispers (creepy) and Wayward Pines (also creepy) but hooked after only a few episodes. They're current so you have to wait and can't binge watch. Also, Deadbeat (quirky). I have to watch Whispers' first episode again cuz you really have to pay attention.
