This morning, after a full night of sleep (except for when the cat woke me up barfing) I got up to run, and it was raining!
Now, I love the rain -- but a run in this morning's rain could have lead to disaster! My neighborhood doesn't have sidewalks, and barely has enough streetlights for me to run in the dark early mornings before work. I was worried about running in the dark rain and water-filled streets this morning.
But, after my day today, I am really wishing I would have gone on my run this morning. It would have broken up the monotony of NC standardized End-of-Grade and Final Exam testing. I am being trying to be positive about having so much time at work to read my really, really interesting book; but the sitting around with bored, restless middle school students is really starting to wear on me. I'm really looking forward to going to the gym after work, but am also reconsidering it because I am lacking so much energy and I just want to go home and veg out and do nothing until I get to come back to work and do it all again tomorrow. I can't meet the trainer today for my fitness orientation, so I think a run is in order, as well as a trial on the rowing machine.

How was the Caramelized Cauliflower and Mushroom Casserole? Is it something I need to pin?
ReplyDeleteI've asked around in the past, and people do like running in the rain. It's not something I do on purpose, I don't like the wet on my face. It is easily solved with a visor or cap but that is not practical in the dark. Good decision not to go in the rain AND the dark until you have a better place to go run.
